This year, my birthday was used as a pretext for the surprise celebration of more momentous events: the newly-rounded (and bloody scary!) ages of two great friends. It was fun having 3 different birthday cakes (complete with a corresponding embarrassing pic from the past)

and a triumvirate of birthday boys and girl. :>
The top 2 of awesome gifts:a pair of rock climbing shoes from all my friends (stay tuned for future cliffhanger-themed blog posts!)
and a whole lot of scrapbooking supplies from Wendy (only Wendy has this talent of guessing what people need before they even know it themselves!)
And something that made me giggle to myself. You know you're part of a crafty bunch when......some people have to go find a quiet spot for "just a bit" of sewing no matter where they are...
...or when, doing the dishes after a party, you find beads stuck to the food leftovers on the plates!Happy birthday to me! :D
